My name is Romain Simon
I am a SaaS founder trying to build the future of AI Filmmaking with Melies 🎬
I started building websites & software since I'm 12. I graduated from SKEMA Business School (MSc in Entrepreneurship) in 2014.
📧 I founded Datananas in 2014, a sales engagement SaaS. Started as a solo founder, then CTO / CPO, went from fully bootstrapped to VC-backed, team of 20 at max & made a lot of mistakes. Competitors that started at the same time (Outreach & SalesLoft) are now multi-billion dollar companies. Datananas was acquired in 2020.
🌎 After 7 years of hard work, I took a year off in 2022 to travel the world.

Favorite tech stack
I often like to learn new things, but Javascript rules. My favorite tech stack for building SaaS is Node.js + Nuxt (Vue.js) + MongoDB. I really love using Tailwind CSS with Tailwind UI. ❤️
